This year we had volunteer projects almost every month to remove invasive plants, mulch the path behind the gym and of course the Leapharts picked up trash daily. Looking forward, in addition to volunteer projects, what park improvements would you like to see? Some suggestions: replace the narrow entrance bridge from the parking lot with a wider one; create a 1/4 mile walking trail; repaint the original mural on the tennis court backstop; add to/replace the 15 year old playground equipment. Except for the mural, whatever we choose will cost much more than what we have in our account, but we’ve successfully fundraised in the past (grants, donations) and can do it again. So- close your eyes- envision something new and wonderful in the park and let me know what you see!
