June 2026 Construction Update
Construction is underway on the new Peachtree Hills Park playground. In addition to the playground equipment being installed through City of Atlanta funding, privately raised funds are supporting several complementary improvements designed to enhance the overall park experience.
Planned improvements include renovations to the existing pavilion, including replacement of deteriorated structural posts, the addition of stone column details and seat walls, and reinstallation of the original commemorative bricks from the prior playground project. The project will also bring lighting to the playground and pavilion area for the first time, improving visibility and extending the usability of the space. Additional landscaping enhancements are planned throughout the project area to complement the new playground and gathering spaces.
The project is currently expected to be completed in late summer to early fall.
Fundraising remains open, and commemorative bricks are still available for purchase. Bricks purchased through the campaign will be incorporated into the completed project. Donors who have already reserved a brick will receive additional information in the coming weeks regarding inscription details and installation timelines.
