The buttons to right link directly to the Georgia Adopt-A-Stream website page where the data for the 2 sampling sites in Peachtree Hills Park Creek are posted.

The button labeled Monitoring Results – site near main entrance displays the data for AAS site 2033 which is located near the main entrance at Peachtree Hills Avenue between the parking lot and the Community Garden. This part of the creek has been monitored by AAS volunteers since 2010.

The button labeled Monitoring results – site near Hurst Drive entrance displays data for AAS site 7603 which is upstream from Hurst Drive entrance to the park just beyond the “waterfall”. We began monitoring the creek at this location in 2023 to identify any issues that may arise between where the creek enters the park and where it exits.

Below is an annotated screenshot of the AAS website display of our monitoring results. The annotations are:

  1. Results of the most recent monitoring event are shown in the rightmost column
  2. Results of the bacterial (E. coli) monitoring. See Bacterial Results for details on what the results mean
  3. Data outlined by the red box are the results of chemical monitoring See Chemical Results for details on what these results mean.
  4. The hyperlinked “form” in the Event ID cell of the chart refers to the data form submitted to Adopt-A-Stream to report monitoring results. Clicking on the word “form” opens the site information page of the data form on which AAS volunteer documents weather conditions like sunny or overcast, etc. and rainfall over the past number of hours or days. The site information form also includes observations about the water in the stream like clarity, smell, flow, water level, and so forth. Please see Observations to see an example of site information page as well as commentary on the significance of these observations.
  5. You can slide the bar below the data chart to view results from previous monitoring events going back as far as 2021.
  6. Graphic representation of how the E.coli values varied over time. This chart is discussed in Bacterial Results
